Patricia Cortes is an online instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Security Studies at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Mrs. Cortes is a native El Pasoan who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Reasoning from UTEP. She went on and earned a Master’s of Criminal Justice and a Master’s of Public Administration both from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). She is a former Asylum Officer from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). She also worked as a Probation Officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
