Chair's Welcome
At DoArt, we are studio artists, graphic designers, art educators, art historians, and museum professionals who will help you achieve your creative goals. The Department of Art at UTEP has a long history of preparing students for the next level of your creative career. Our faculty are active professional artists and researchers who transform their expertise into active learning for students.
We offer a range of degrees at DoArt. The Bachelor of Fine Arts with studio immersion in Graphic Design, Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Metals, Ceramics, and Sculpture. The Bachelor of Arts with Art Major offers balance between studio and academic focus. We also offer the Bachelor of Arts with All Levels Art Education with Teacher Certification and the Bachelor of Arts with Art History Major. DoArt offers a range of minors in Art History, Museum Studies, and all studio concentrations.
DoArt offers students enhanced professional experience beyond courses with the Rubin Center for the Visual Arts at UTEP connecting our community to global contemporary art, the study abroad program Roma Aeterna summer in Italy, and the greater El Paso art centers and galleries.
We prepare students for professional careers in the arts and those interested in pursuing graduate programs in various creative fields. We want to foster your creative dreams and goals. Come join us at DoArt!
